It is super quiet so you won't bother anyone else and you can direct the air flow right at yourself. You can also add water to the top if you need that extra cooling effect. It also has different color lighting options which is really cool as it acts as sort of a night light. There are 3 different speeds for the fan, 3 different levels for the water mist, a couple of different lighting colors, and a timer with 3 different settings. This is a very good value for the money. I'm glad I bought it!
